Halogen Infrared Electric Heaters: Raw Power for Real-World Work
We build halogen infrared heaters for engineers who need heat that hits hard, right where it counts. You need focus. You need speed. And you need a footprint that doesn’t take over the whole line. These units deliver energy straight into the target—perfect for jobs where contact heating is out of the question, and where downtime just isn’t an option.
Let’s talk about how they actually work
These heaters run on electricity and put out shortwave radiation. It penetrates surfaces fast—like, almost instantly. Most industrial models run on 400V, packing up to 2500W of power into a tube that’s only about 300mm long. That’s a lot of heat in a small space. It means your temperature climbs quickly, which is great. But it also means your control system and cooling setup have to be up to the task. Keep a close eye on voltage and current, too. If they’re off, the output gets shaky and the heater can burn out early.
What’s inside matters
We use a quartz envelope filled with halogen gas. It keeps the filament stable, even when the heat is intense. The shortwave output is focused, and the reflector coating makes sure more energy lands on the target—not wasted heating up the air. The R7s base makes for a solid, straightforward connection, so swapping one in on the line is quick and painless. Need a different footprint? We can spec out Sk15 or other connectors to fit your machine bay exactly.
Where they shine—and what to watch for
These heaters are workhorses for PET blowing, plastic welding, and curing. The response is fast—really fast—so you can hit precise timing without guesswork. And because the heat is focused, you don’t waste energy heating up parts that don’t need it. In practice, that translates to faster cycle times and heat control you can count on, cycle after cycle. Just remember: you’re dealing with high heat density. Plan for solid airflow and proper thermal management so the lamp and surrounding components stay within safe operating temperatures.
