It’s a headache. Usually, it comes down to two things: the machine shaking the life out of the glass or the heat just being too much for the tube to handle.&#xA;We got tired of seeing that happen, so we rebuilt our replacement lamps for the SIPA SFR 12 to actually hold up under pressure.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The technical side of things&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;These are simple drop-in replacements. You won&amp;rsquo;t have to mess with your control cabinets or rewire a single thing—they fit exactly like the originals.&#xA;The tricky part is the heat. To stretch PET preforms, you need a lot of heat, and you need it fast. But that puts a massive amount of stress on the quartz glass. If the glass isn&amp;rsquo;t tough enough to handle those wild temperature swings, it just snaps.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Making them tougher&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We switched to a reinforced quartz blend to stop the constant breakage.&#xA;Most standard tubes fail at the pinch seal or where they touch the holder because the SFR 12 has a lot of &amp;ldquo;mechanical chatter&amp;rdquo;—basically, it vibrates. Our lamps are built to take that shaking without cracking.&#xA;We also tightened up the end caps. Now they fit snugly in the holder. This is a big deal because it stops that annoying &amp;ldquo;arc-over&amp;rdquo; effect that happens when a lamp wiggles loose in its socket.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;What to expect when you install them&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;You can swap these in and get back to work immediately. No modifications needed. You&amp;rsquo;ll spend less time replacing bulbs and more time actually producing.&#xA;One quick tip: because the quartz is more durable, it handles infrared light a little differently. When you first fire them up, you might need to nudge your power settings by 2-5% to get your preform temperature exactly where you want it.&#xA;And please, check your cooling fans. Clear out the dust and debris. Even the toughest lamp in the world can&amp;rsquo;t survive if the housing turns into an oven.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
