Getting a wood floor to cure properly is a bit of a balancing act. You need enough UV power to lock those resins in place, but not so much that you actually scorch the wood. We build our curing lamps for the grind of industrial lines, where things move fast and there’s no room for error. Most people ask about the 24-month warranty first. That’s great, but it’s not actually the important part. What really matters is whether the lamp is tuned to your specific line speed.
Heat is the Real Enemy
When you’re running high-output UV, you aren’t just dealing with light—you’re dealing with a lot of heat. If your lamp is too powerful for how fast your conveyor is moving, you’ll start seeing bubbles in the finish. But if it’s too weak? The floor stays tacky, and you’ve got a mess on your hands. We don’t believe in “standard” settings; we calibrate the output to match exactly how your resin reacts. And a quick heads-up: keep an eye on your cooling blowers. High-output tubes get hot. Really hot. If your airflow is weak, that quartz envelope is going to stress out and burn out way too soon. No warranty can fix a lack of air.
Why “Big Brand” Support Usually Fails
The huge global brands are great at shipping boxes, but they rarely send a real human to your shop when your line goes down. We do things differently. We’re local. If something feels off, we can come over, tweak the lamp position, or adjust your power supply settings right there on the floor. A “drop-in” replacement from a giant corporation is usually a one-size-fits-all deal. We prefer to look at your specific machine footprint. The Trade-off
