Why we built this
We built this halogen drying lamp for one simple reason: to give you raw, controllable infrared heat when space is tight and you can’t afford to wait. It’s for the people who need a heat source they can actually rely on. One that specs clean, wires up fast, and just keeps running—day after day—on the factory floor.
What it actually does
This isn’t just “a heater.” It’s shortwave infrared, and it’s meant to get serious work done. Packed into a 300mm tube, you’ve got 2500W focused into a small footprint. That means serious heat density, and that means fast drying and curing. It runs on 400V for a reason: industrial power. That voltage choice lowers the current draw, so your wiring stays simpler and you lose less energy to resistance. And the 300mm length? It’s short enough to slip into tight headspaces on coating lines and assembly cells, but still wide enough to cover the target area you actually need.
Built to take the heat
At the heart of it is a halogen-filled quartz tube. We chose it because it handles rapid heating and cooling without cracking—so it won’t throw in the towel when your process starts and stops. The shortwave output hits in the near-infrared band, which means the heat lands where you want it—fast—instead of wasting time warming the air around it. The tube is coated to shape the emission and even out the thermal profile. The payoff? More even coverage, and far fewer hot spots. And the R7s connector? It’s the practical, industry-standard way to make installation feel like a simple swap, not a headache. It locks in cleanly and keeps the electrical contact consistent.
Where it shines
Use this when you need heat that’s fast and focused:
- Drying paint and coatings
- Curing adhesives
- Pulling moisture out of plastic preforms
- Preheating parts before assembly The concentrated infrared energy cuts down dwell time and helps you keep line speeds moving.
The trade-off, straight up
High heat density comes with responsibility. You’ll need proper cooling and solid heat shielding. Plan your airflow and guarding so the lamp stays within its thermal limits—and so your operators stay safe. We spec’d this to be tough, easy to install, and consistent. Wire it up, set the distance, and let the heat do its job. One more detail: if you need a different connector—like Sk15—we can set the ends up to match your fixture. Just let us know your spacing and mounting constraints when you’re integrating it.
