At 2200W, these things are absolute powerhouses. They push a massive amount of shortwave energy right into your material. Why the twin-tube setup? It’s pretty simple. By using two tubes instead of one, we double the surface area without making the lamp bulky. This is the secret to hitting 2200W without melting the quartz envelope. You get a concentrated blast of heat that actually sinks deep into plastics or coatings. It’s a completely different feel than those standard long-wave heaters that just warm the surface. The “Half-White” trick You’ll notice a white ceramic coating on half the tube. We didn’t do that for looks. Think of it as a shield. That coating bounces the infrared radiation back toward your workpiece instead of letting it bleed into your machine’s frame or the lamp holders. It keeps the energy focused where it belongs. Just a heads-up: keep your reflectors clean. If they’re dusty, you’re leaving heat on the table. Getting it running If you’re using PET blowing ovens or industrial drying lines, these usually slide right in. The wiring is easy enough. But here is the thing: 2200W is a heavy pull. Make sure your power supply and cables can handle the current. You don’t want to deal with voltage drops in the middle of a production run. A quick warning on the heat Because that white coating is so efficient at pushing heat forward, your material is going to heat up fast.Really fast. If your cycle times are too tight, you might accidentally scorch your parts.
