A Couple of Things to Keep in Mind
If you go with higher wattage lamps, you’ll move more product and cut your cycle times. It’s great for throughput. But here’s the catch: more heat means your cooling fans have to work harder. If you upgrade to a high-density lamp, take a second to check your airflow. If the air isn’t moving, the quartz gets too hot and your lamps won’t last nearly as long. And a pro tip? Don’t just swap out one dead bulb. Replace the whole set. It’s the only way to make sure the heat stays balanced across the preform.
