Stop Overpaying for Your Brooder Lamps
Let’s be honest: when you’re setting up heat for your chicks, you usually end up looking at those big, expensive international brands. They work, sure, but you’re paying a lot just for the name on the box. We decided to build something better. Our infrared lamps are designed to slide right into your existing setup and do the exact same job—maybe even better—without the ridiculous markup.
It’s all about the heat
Here’s the thing about our tech: we use short-wave infrared. Most cheap lamps just try to warm up the air, which is a waste. Ours go straight for the birds. We spent a lot of time tweaking the tungsten filament and the quartz glass to keep the heat tight and focused. But a quick word of advice: if you put a high-wattage lamp in a tiny space, you’re going to bake the air. Keep an eye on your ventilation so your flock doesn’t get heat stress. Balance is everything.
The nitty-gritty stuff
We use high-purity quartz glass because, frankly, cheap glass sucks. It cracks under pressure and gets cloudy after a few months. Ours stays clear. And don’t worry about your current fixtures. We use standard R7s and SK15 bases. You just pop them in and you’re good to go. No need to rewire your whole coop. Plus, we have coated options. These take away that blinding white glare. It keeps the birds much calmer, but they still get all the warmth they need to grow.
Built for the chaos of a coop
Coops are dusty. They’re humid. They’re kind of gross. We built these lamps to handle that. We’ve put them head-to-head with the big brands, and our tubes hold their heat steady for the long haul. They don’t just start strong and then fade away. One last thing—if you’re running a big commercial operation with a whole bank of these, just double-check your wiring. High-intensity infrared pulls a decent amount of power, so make sure your circuits can handle the load.
